The Merchant Shipping (Watercraft) Order 2023 in effect

As of the 31st of March 2023, the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 has now been updated to include personnal watercraft. This is important as this is legally binding and is now prosecutable under UK law.

Any charter business, skipper or crew member should familiarise themselves with the basic contents of the Merchany Shipping Act 1995, but paying particular attention to sections 58, 98 and 100.
